6月19日（金）、国際室で、都市環境学専攻・加藤研の皆さんと一緒に「おにぎりコンテスト」を開催しました。参加者のみなさんが、それぞれのアイデアをつめこんだオリジナルおにぎりを作り、国際室はとてもにぎやかで楽しい雰囲気に包まれました!!!
On Friday, June 19, we held an “Onigiri Contest” at the International Office with members of the Kato Laboratory from the Department of Environmental Engineering and Architecture. Participants created their own original onigiri filled with unique ideas, and the International Office was full of a lively and cheerful atmosphere!!!
当日は、鮭や梅、ツナマヨなどの定番おにぎりはもちろん、ポークやキムチなどを使ったユニークなおにぎりも登場しました。形や飾り方にも工夫があり、見ているだけでも楽しくなる作品ばかりでした。
On the day of the event, there were classic onigiri with fillings such as salmon, pickled plum, and tuna mayo, as well as unique creations using ingredients like pork and kimchi. Many participants also put effort into the shape and decoration, making the onigiri fun to look at as well as to eat.
参加者のみなさんは、自分たちのアイデアを出し合いながら、チームメンバーと楽しく会話を広げていました。シンプルな食べ物だからこそ、作る人の個性や思いがよく伝わってきました。
Participants shared their ideas with each other and enjoyed lively conversations with their team members. Because onigiri is such a simple and familiar food, each creation clearly showed the personality and thoughts of the people who made it.
審査では、味、見た目、アイデア、食べやすさなどをチェックしました。どのおにぎりも魅力的で、審査員もかなり悩んだ様子でした。最後には、特に素晴らしいおにぎりを作ったチームに優秀賞が贈られました。どれも楽しくておいしいおにぎりでした。
During the judging, the onigiri were evaluated based on taste, appearance, creativity, and how easy they were to eat. Every entry was attractive, and the judges seemed to have a very difficult time choosing the winners. In the end, an Excellence Award was given to the team that made an especially wonderful onigiri. All of the onigiri were fun, creative, and delicious.

今回のコンテストは、おにぎりの新しい楽しみ方を発見できる、とても温かいイベントになりました。作って、見て、食べて、話して、みんなで笑顔になれる時間でした。ご参加いただいたみなさん、そして面白い企画を準備してくれた加藤研の皆さん、ありがとうございました！！！
